It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Miroslav Rednak, a long-standing member of the Slovenian Society of Agricultural Economists and its president from 2004 to 2012.
With his passing, Slovenia has lost one of its most prominent agricultural economists and a pioneer in developing key quantitative foundations for monitoring the economic situation and supporting decision-making in agriculture.
Dr. Miroslav Rednak will be remembered as a thoughtful observer, a tireless professional, a sincere interlocutor, and a warm-hearted friend.
The funeral will take place on Sunday, 17 May 2026, at 15:00 at the chapel by the church in Fara pri Kolpi, followed by the burial at the cemetery near Sveti Štefan (on the road towards Kočevje).
